The central line has been removed from his jugular and shifted over to the power port that he had permanently inserted for chemo infusions. There must be some reason they didn't use that previously, but we get various explanations, including 'they are not trained to use them because only infusion nurses are teained to use them.' but oerhaps there was a general training session last night, since now they are using it.
Also, the pain team came and said that since he has no pain at the moment, they won't change anything. And he is required to use a blowing machine to practice expanding his lungs. They expect to get him up to a seated position this afternoon.
