okay, ed now in the bed in the room which is, unfortunately, in a pediatrics unit because the hospital is mighty full. they expect to get him over to a surgical bed this afternoon. he's getting some oxygen, rolling icechips around in his mouth via a spoon, and looking a little pale. no memory of muchof anything in the past 6 hours; talking clearlybut still, he says, a little slowed down in the head from the anesthesia. we're at noon now.
