Yesterday, Ed went down to Bellingham for a chemo session. He had taken a one-session holiday, which meant we had 4 weeks in between. We had both thought that he was getting tireder after the chemo...taking longer to get back to normal and that was part of the reason for the holiday. That is, to see whether without it he would be feeling less tired. But, to both our surprises (where is 'one's surprise' located?), it was about the same. We could attribute the tiredness to the chemo, the weather, or old age. All viable candidates. But the chemo now drops down to 3rd place.
Furthermore, the new CEA reading has dropped again down to 3.3 (normal, 3 or lower). Which was also surprising since it had edged up a bit last time and this drop was during the period when there was no chemo. Oh, who knows? The doc says these small ups and downs are not unusual, but the nurse was very enthusiastic about this reading. We, too. (That can't be the right way to say that, but I take it it is elliptical for 'we are too.')
The weather continues cold and grey and wet. The cat continues to be a good addition to our days, although she does seem to think that anytime I go into the kitchen, that must mean mealtime has arrived. I need to teach her to read the clock.
