I forgot...

The CEA last week came in at 12.0  12.2 (August 12), two points up from the reading of two weeks  before (10.0).  It's up, but not much of a change and I attribute it to the somewhat overwhelming mountain climb that Ed did.  Says Ed when I mentioned this: "Yeh, I like that explanation."  So that's our explanation.  And we'll see what the next two-week reading has to say.  (When his oncologist looked at the reading, he nodded, and said that he was going to put his boat in the water this weekend.)

I forgot to go back to the blog about climbing the mountain to correct my statement that they got to the top of the mountain.  There was a trail most of the way to the top and they made it to the end of the trail.  But then nobody could find a trail through the talus to the top, so none of the four of them made it to the top, even though all four of them made various efforts.  Accuracy in the blog world is what we are aiming for, I guess.

Good summer, but almost at an end.  Rain expected in a couple of days; apples are already falling from the tree: small and kind of scabby.  It's going to be a thin apple crop.  Ed is helping me with my fundraising project and we are doing well with that.  He's our IT guy, putting a donate button on the fundraising blog site, making little videos about locals views of the library for our facebook page: like those things.  He also went out on an actual fund-raising visit where you talk to people about actually giving a significant amount of money.  I've kind of presided over the raising of $54,000 funds, but I haven't actually asked anybody for a specific amount of money beyond $40.00.  So, comes the fall I have to start doing that, too.

Thanks to everyone for coming to see us this summer.  It was the best!
