We have had two good pieces of news this month. The first is that we have accepted an offer on our beautiful Canadian log house and today it cleared all the inspection hurdles. The buyers are said to be two young couples from Vancouver who are buying it for a vacation home. And, additional good fortune, they are happy to have us leave any furniture that we don't choose to move, and they have no plans to remdel it. (Remodelling was the plan in the case of several other people who showed interest in the house, and I found that it really turned me off. Good enough for us should be good enough for them, first. Second, it's perfect the way it is...Have some respect!)
The only down side is that they want us out by the end of December, so we will, unexpectedly, be spending Christmas at the Creek, sorting wheat and chaff.
And the second news? Ed saw his oncologist todsy and the CEA number was 3.5. Says the doc, the pattern of the last four readings (over twelve weeks) is in his view, FLAT! There's a kind of wonderful gift right there!
