Not Much in the Way of News

All stands stable here.  Ed went down for the CAT scan and the Chemo Lite yesterday.  We'll get the results from the scan probably by Monday and I'll post them promptly.  This will be the first real comparative scan.  But, whatever it says, Ed is feeling well, working really hard, being chipper, and having computer difficulties that are not responding as quickly to his magic fingers as he would like.  It is appearing that he may have to give up on Windows 2000.  Also, his white blood cell counts are back in normal ranges, although his red blood counts are still a little below normal.  No new CEA test yet.

Shelly and Gianna (my son and his daughter), and Ed's squaredancing friend Connie, and Bridger and Katherine from RAND have all been here in the past three weeks.  Helicopter rides were available for most, and Shelly and Bridger contributed greatly to the re-construction of the storage shed at the Orchard House.  Couldn't have hefted all that concrete without them, I'd say.  Katherine wins the trophy for greatest commitment to removing noxious weeds (a co-winner with Annika, Ed's daughter, although Katherine worked on the bindweed while Annika did battle with the smelly pink weed).  They can both return next spring and do it all over again, of course.

And fall has set it, as it tends to the first week in September.
