Spring, 2015, and Five Years Later

Nothing much has changed over the past few months.  Ed shifted from an every three weeks chemo to an every two weeks chemo, and the CEA numbers went back down a bit,  And he was a bit more affected by the chemo side effects (fatigue, primarily) since it, in effect, was a higher dose.  But, as we passed the 5-year mark since diagnosis, he thought he might like a little vacation from steady chemo, given that he has more immediate downside from the chemo than from the cancer.

So, beginning, the first of April, he is on said holiday.  Until he's not.  He continues to have the CEA numbers monitored  (they were going down a little, in the mid-teens, but today they're up to 20, although that's still the effect of the last chemo session).  And he is taking CBD oil, in hopes that that might have some effect.  Research is slow.

We're glad to see the many signs of spring that are around us.  The library fundraising is at $448,000, close to the end-run, for which we have plans.  We'll both be happy to be through with that and thank all of you who have helped to get us to this point.

And to get us to this point in every other way.  We are happy to still be here among you, if at something of a distance.
