So, as Ed's doc said right at the beginning, the best gauge of how it's going is how you're doing. And he continues to do well. Although we are both amazed at how little we actually get done each day compared to our hopes for the day as we start it out. But I suspect that is less about medical things than about where we are in this long and interesting journey.
It has gotten to be fall, even though the rains haven't bothered to come. By now, we're have our own little drought up here in northwest Washington. No real rain for over two months is pretty unusual. We had to turn on the heat in the house yesterday because it was 58 degrees outside and no way to imagine how that was going to help the house get up to 65 degrees which is kind of the basic requirement. The days are warmer...near 70, anyway, with big blue skies. Indian summer in many ways. The tourists/cottagers have mostly gone home to their real lives, but the gas stations and grocery store are still doing good businesses.
My sunflowers have yet to bloom. Ed has cleaned the house roofs of their moss accumulation. If only there wasn't a burn ban on because of the drought, we could be taking care of getting rid of all the yard refuse we have stacked around. A time for every purpose, under heaven. We'll get there.
