The picture up at the top is Cascade Pass, where Ed and two friends had a day hike the other day. Getting to the end of the good weather, he was afraid he was not going to get in a hike this summer. But then the weather gods and everybody's schedule coordinated and off they went. It's a 1700 foot elevation with a trail from the parking lot up. According to his friend, Tom, who accompanied him, Ed did it without even breathing heavily.
So, although this does not constitute concerning news, I thought I'd post it since it is a wonderful picture and a wonderful fact. I did not go: I'm too old and tired.
