Brief Update

This past week, Ed had the every-three-week Avastin infusion.  Routine.  The CEA number continues to rise: now 7.5 (previous reading was 6.3).  The rise each time is slightly greater...that is, last time it was up .9 from the previous reading; this time it was up 1.2 from the previous reading).  But, they're just numbers and don't have any presence in our daily lives.

Shelly and his family were up for a weekend and managed to use the Orchard House very well, but then they went back to their house.  Spring presumably is here and the forsythia and daffodils and flowering fruit trees are in bloom.  But it doesn't feel like spring.  In fact, it often feels like winter.  Hope springs eternal and all that, but a day when it got well into the 50's would be very welcome.
